How does the scoring systm work in USA

What does this mean in shows in USA? A 10 before the name of the dog This dog was listed first in the line up of dogs shown.

Had a google brenda cannot find much about it but have a look at this although I'm not sure it answers your question.

It seems very hard to find just to clarify did you mean when showing which I thought you meant or hip/elbow scoring ?
