You are completely missing the point - wolves are NOT dangerous to humans except in a very few very exceptional circumstances - their fear of humans keeps them away from them if at all possible. And for a very good reason - wolves have been persecuted by man for thousands of years so anything quadrapedal to a wolf after the age of 3 weeks is something to be avoided at all costs.

There is one person only who has ever called me Gnash on this forum, and that was someone called NickyAnn - someone who sounds suspiciously similar to your good self! Why??

Ok if wolves are not dangerous to humans then you come to Wyoming as there are no wolves in the UK, then you hike into the Yellowstone bush, find a wolf pack and hand out dog treats. You can take your dog with you to play frisby with the wolves. Again you do not know what a real wolf is. No island in the UK is large enough to segregate a wild wolf pack, as one pack will become 20 in a short time, then they need to be exterminated again.

There are breeds of dog bred specifically to guard livestock (Caucasian Ovtcharka, Kangal, Sarplaninac, Maremma etc etc) against wolves ... but there need to be sufficient numbers of dogs to enable them to do their job.
