Sunday 25th August 2024

Morning all. Hope you all had a good day yesterday and evening. Sounds sensible Kelly getting shoes that are comfortable to wear. The sun is shining so off for a longer walk as didn't get two walks in yesterday as rained nearly all day till late afternoon by which time I had decided not to bother. The book is good so that will get finished today. Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning everyone

Hope you manage two good walks today Brenda and enjoy your book

Washing done,, ironed and in the airing cupboard. Four bushed cut back and have also made some scones. The incentive of buying nibbles is why he goes for a walk Oh and `teasel also walked.

Have a good day everyone and take care.

Afternoon brenda, Barry, Sue and all to follow.
Warm, sunny and windy here today. Washing on the line just how I like it.
What a busy weekend we are done for but still have lots to do. Friday visited our friends at the site they had their motor home on for a few days at East Runton in Norfolk.

We had a lovely time and a 5 mile walk, then yesterday a long day with Freya.
She is like a duracell bunny. We went out for coffee and a cheese scone to break the day up as it rained all day, Freya had fun in her new wellies jumping in puddles.
Grandad took her for a walk late in the afternoon during a brief dry spell to jump in puddles and her welly came off oh the excitement when she got back telling me.

Mark, Lauren and Freya and possibly Joel visiting tomorrow to see the new extension all decorated. The last time they were here we hadn't started decorating.
Now we have almost finished the other bit that will become the dining room.

brenda hope you have managed a walk today.
Sue hoping you get a rest later.
griff I have to start thinking winter shoes, such a nightmare and sad to be thinking about Winter already.
Kazz wow 30 that is tragic. I wonder what will happen to the dogs ?
Does make you wonder if they have been badly treated.

Good afternoon all

I am slowly emulsioning the kitchen ceiling not a job to be taken lightly as its 14ft wide at its widest and 21 ft long about 1/2 way through doing it bit by bit. The trouble with decorating is it shows up the rest oh well.

Glad you have all had a good weekend.

Mine will be spent messing around and watching some telly listenign to radio and reading maybe. But a bit to restless for reading me thinks.

Yes Lynn it does seem young, another thought I had was he was trying to break up a fight and fell, sure the answers will never be really known just the final verdict of cause of death.

I also wonder about the times these dogs change hands/homes

I met a man about 5 months ago and he had a what I would call XL bully but he said it was Boxer/Staff (it was not) we got talking and he said it was a right handful the dog was about 18 months old full male and on home number 6, he had had it for 5 weeks.

The chap who had it had three primary age children you have to wonder, common sense not on view and yes I agree the dog was a handful he could hardly hold it himself, not saying it was nasty just so under socialised I felt for the man and the dog. I old him about the three of four local off lead secure walking/off lead areas but he said they would not allow XL Bullies or dogs of that type.

I've just noticed there is going to be a TV programme on channel 4 at 10.30 pm tonight (Sunday 25/8 2024) titled "Death Row Dogs: Save My XL Bully".

OOh that sounds like a task Kazz.

Yes it could be he was breaking up a fight, sadly he will never now be able to enlighten us to what really happened. Sad for the dogs too I guess they're facing a death sentence.
Honestly that man needs to get some training mostly for himself on how to learn a dog's body language and to get that poor dog socialised before it's too late.
I haven't heard of any dog parks that are refusing XL Bully's onto secure fields where they will be the only dog for 1/2 to an hour off lead exercise.
Sounds more like an excuse.
I will make sure I watch that programme Kazz thank you.

I haven't read or heard about the wildfires in Brazil same here as Kazz says Sue, hoping your family in Brazil are not affected.
