Hugs - DOB 10/12, Male, Labrador X
Hugs Labrador x DOB 10.12 Camberley Foster
Hugs needs a supportive family to offer time and tolerance to allow their new dog to settle. Hugs needs a strong family who can offer him time to unwind and support him as he settles and learns to listen. Hugs will need a 'training home' to help him learn calm self-control as a maturing large dog. Hugs has no malice, just a high level of ineptitude. Hugs needs a waistband or Gentle Leader to assist his handler when on leaded walks. He will need a fair-sized, secure garden in which to express his glee and energy. Hugs would love to live with another dog who is playful. Ideally large dog experience. NB Our Rescue asks owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters, as dog law changes place dog's lives at greater risk
Known background: Hugs was found stray as a very young dog; he was quite confused as to how to please and certainly didn't understand anything about the purpose of a lead. Hugs is neutered, chipped and fully vax'd. He is currently fostered in Camberley with 2 french bull dogs.
About Hugs: Hugs was in kennels for nearly 2 years and he was mainly 'on hold' but although his skills improved within this limited scope his wonderful temperament and scoping mechanism shone through. Kennels haven't helped him explore and use his abundant energy. Hugs is play, play, play. He is a little too large to behave like a three month old puppy, so he needs help on his way to becoming a calm, confident adult dog. He is still leapy if excited. He will succeed in continual unfoldment but needs patience from his family and confidence to manage is energy on lead. His fosterers will support.
Hugs is a yellow short haired Labrador cross. Hugs is a large puppy even though he is now two years old; He has the smiles of a clown. Hugs is endearing but needs a determined family who will be there for him. Hugs benefits from living with another dog so he can utilise and explore his energy. Hugs needs access to furniture and would like to sleep beside your bed. Hugs has missed out during his formative youth, despite this, he has emerged as a real smasher.
