Rescue chickens have arrived!!

I have just rescued 3 ex battery chickens and they came home yesterday! I have been waiting for them for over 2 months.
They are in MUCH better condition than I thought they would be! The girls are a little pale and thin, with long nails (very!!) and a few small bald patches.......but on the whole much more healthy than I expected.
They are 18 months old and settling in well! They are eating for England and scratching the ground like pros!!
My Molly adores them and spends all day watching them! This morning I got 3 wonderful eggs!! Not bad 100% on the first morning!

Thank you!
They are a real timewaster! I sat out there with my cup of tea at 6am this morning and watched them cluck and scratch (and mostly eat!!!!) in the sunshine they have never seen.
I am a really sad person!

Did you notice there was always a set of red legs in most of the photos!?

What a lovely thing to do.

How did you find out about rescuing them? I am sure my mum would be interested in a similar idea. Did you get them direct from a battery farm or were they at a rescue centre?

Thanks

Wow that's a great idea. We're so used to seeing dogs, cats & other animals rescued, I would never have thought of chickens though. Good on you.
