Storm, 6/10/98 - 7/7/06

I cant belive its a year since my old friend had to leave, not a day goes by where I dont notice something he had left his mark, or me doing something and expecting to see him close by, It still hurts and I have even found my self call him from the garden or when in the woods of fields.

I know that letting him go was was the best thing despite it also being the hardest thing I have faced, I would like to thank my friends, family, dogsey members and even Storms vet who all helped get me through it. I found this poem just after he went and found It quite apt.

IF IT SHOULD BE

If it should be that I grow weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then you must do what must be done,
For this last battle cannot be won.

You will be sad, I understand.
Don't let your grief then stay your hand.
For this day, more than all the rest,
Your love for me must stand the test.

We've had so many happy years.
What is to come can hold no fears.
You'd not want me to suffer so;
The time has come -- please let me go.

Take me where my need they'll tend,
And please stay with me till the end.
Hold me firm and speak to me,
until my eyes no longer see.

I know in time that you will see
the kindness that you did for me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
from pain and suffering I've been saved.

Please do not grieve -- it must be you
who had this painful thing to do.
We've been so close, we two, these years;
don’t let your heart hold back its tears.
Here are also some pics of him what hold a lot of memorys.

With his old and best friend Jake

With his good friend and student Star

Enjoying the Snow.

My most fave pic of him.

Lovely memories to have Phill.
He was obviously your best mate and to lose those so close is the hardest loss to bear even one year on it still feels raw like it happened yesterday.
You will find yourself thinking alot about him today, enjoy every moment of his precious memory. x

Stormey, he looked gorgeous and I know from all your posts that you really miss him.

I'm sure he is having a great time at the bridge, but would be with you still if he could have been.
